U4GM Camera Lens Guide for ARC Raiders Security Loot Runs

If you've been dropping into ARC Raiders since Shrouded Sky, you've probably had that moment where you hover over a Camera Lens and think, "Do I really need this?" I used to treat them like junk, same as everyone else, and cash them out for parts without a second thought. Then the projects started asking for them, and suddenly that "junk" became a headache. If you're mapping out what to keep, it's worth checking the ARC Raiders BluePrint list and making a quick plan before you hit the recycler.

Where Lenses Actually Show Up

You won't find Camera Lenses lying around in the open like a med kit. They're tied to the places that feel "official" in a dead-world kind of way. Players call them Security-tagged areas, but you'll recognise them by the furniture: lockers, metal desks, filing cabinets, little office corners you'd normally ignore. On Dam Battlegrounds, I've had the most consistent luck sweeping the Control Tower and poking through the Hydroponic Dome Complex room by room. On Spaceport, the Stella Montis Lobby and the Security Office are the obvious stops, and the Blue Gate Security Wing can pay out big if you can stay calm when patrols roll through.

Recycler Math And Why It Traps People

The numbers look simple until you're the one short on space. Recycle a Camera Lens back at the Raider Den and you get 8 Plastic Parts. Break it down topside mid-raid and it's only 4, which feels like the game quietly punishing you for being impatient. That's why a lot of folks do this loop: grab lenses when they're light, stash them, and only convert them once you're sure you won't need them for anything else. It's not glamorous, but it saves you from that awful "one more run" spiral when you're trying to finish a build.

The Weather Monitor System Catch

The real twist is the Weather Monitor System project. Stage five asks for 3 Camera Lenses, and it hits right when people are finally feeling organised. You'll also be hunting a Damaged Heat Sink and those irritating Voltage Converters, but the lenses are the sneaky part because you've probably been shredding them for plastic since day one. Clearing that step isn't just a checkbox either; it opens up useful stuff like Surge Shield Rechargers and tactical augments, and pushing the whole project through pays out Raider Tokens plus a charm you'll actually want to equip.

How I'd Handle Them Now

Don't hoard everything, but don't get clever and sell your last lens either. Keep a small cushion in your locker until that stage is done, then turn the extras into plastic when you're low. It's a boring habit, sure, but it stops you wasting five raids because you got trigger-happy at the recycler. If you want to stay ahead of the next surprise requirement, it helps to skim the BluePrint page and stash the odd "useless" component before it becomes the new bottleneck.
